Chroma Key Photography

According to the dictionary, Chroma Key Photography is a type of photography where someone use a scene of color (blue or, commonly, green) behind the point of interest in two pictures that can create, later on, the interest in different settings or objects.

For an example is when the people talks about the weather or current events, as the pictures shown below. Chroma Key photography is very common in the film industry as it creates amazing effects that turn the movie(s) into a showstopper.

The photos above, i did not know it has more than one, give an example of what Chroma Key Photography is about and how it is created. That is the reason why i chose this photo.

The photos starts off with a green screen with some objects and equipment to set off the future setting. The next photo has a person in front of the blue screen, but sitting behind a blue-covered desk/table.

In the photo after that, the person now looks like she is in the news room and about to tell the viewers of what news is happening right now. In the last photo is just what settings the green screen was transform into by the photographers .

I chose this photo because it tells of what the photographers needs in order for them to make the perfect effects of their images. Without the green screen, it will cost so much for the photographers a lot of money to travel or to make what kind of screen he or she wants their subject to be in.

Additionally, this photo also tells of how much effort the people do to make their photos or videos great. Not to mention, chroma key is probably one of the reasons why making a movie cost so much money to make and to watch in theaters.

Why i choose this photo was because it gives anyone an idea of what the subject of interest should do in front of the green screen. If the person is not in the correct position, the finished photo would look weird and not much interesting at all.

Also, the green screen helps to make the photo, or video, worthy of seeing or watching by the community. If no one, as an example, watches a movie that took a long time to be prepared and using a lot of green screens during filming, then all the people’s efforts are just wasted.

Imagine the photo above of having no person in it and just a setting. Does only the setting look interesting?

Kind off, but with that person in the picture will give the scene more interesting than just a setting. That is why i choose this picture as it gives a jumping upstart feeling when looking at it, just like seeing a horror movie with jump scenes.

Seeing how the foot pointed directly in the camera’s eye view will give an almost feeling that someone is about to get hurt, mostly in the face.

The photo will give an idea on what a complete photo of using a green screen would look like after going many process to achieve it.
