Light Painting

Light painting is simple to learn, difficult to master, and can have numerous intricate/moving parts that go into creating a photo.

Light painting, is more about the creative, colorful side of photography and less about the technical aspects. With this in mind there is Copious room for small error and creativity, which is what drives me to this form of photography.

One of the interesting aspects of this form is that it is functionally a backwards movie where as in a movie the cameras catches everything that is happening, except on moving film. With light painting, you set your shutter speed very low so that you have plenty of time to move around and place your light or “paint” and the camera catches everything that happens onto a still photograph.
