Motion blur photography is something we have been working on in class using flash. I found a very cool website with some very good tips on taking motion blur photos. A lot of photographers capture motion simply to convey that an object is moving. But, there are other reasons to so. Movement can communicate mood. You can also use motion to eliminate parts of a scene that may distract viewers. The shutter speed that you use while photographing a scene is a very important in capturing motion in your image. The faster the shutter speed, the sharper the focus on your subject. On the other hand, a slower shutter speed will blur a moving object.
These two photos are from the website I found. There are a tons of websites on motion blur but I found this one informative.
This website had some very cool pictures; I particularly think the cat chasing the mouse is amazing.
I hope you enjoy the websites I shared and hope they give you some ideas for trying to take motion blur photos.
