Art Wolfe

Art Wolfe is a nature photographer, born in Seattle, WA. Just four years after graduating from the University of Washington, he had completed projects for National Geographic and published his first photographic book.


He has traveled to all seven continents, photographing nature, the culture and the wildlife – specifically bringing people’s attention to endangered species through his photos. Wolfe has won several awards, including the North American Nature Photography Association’s Outstanding Nature Photographer of the Year Award in 1998 and the Alfred Eisenstaedt Photography Award in 2000.

I chose to post about him because I love the type of photography he does, particularly action shots like the one above, and I love how he captured the beauty of nature everywhere he went. All these photographs and more can be found at:
