Images are presented here to go with my new book A Beginner’s Guide to DSLR Astrophotography. They illustrate the the kinds of beautiful photos that can be taken with very basic equipment and simple techniques.
You too can take images of the wonders of the universe: constellations, planetary conjunctions, star trails, the Sun and the Moon, and deep-space objects such as star clusters, nebulae and galaxies.
These kinds of pictures can be taken with equipment ranging from a simple camera with wide-angle lens on a fixed tripod to a telescope on a tracking mount. By Jerry Lodriguss.
These three photos are pictures of the big and little dipper, star clusters, and an asteroid.
