Ian Ruhter took his life savings and converted a delivery truck into a giant camera. He creates these photos through the wet plate collodion process, which was introduced in the 1800s. From my understanding, this process would involve covering the glass plate in numerous chemicals, then the plate is exposed and developed before it all dries. Ruhters process is on a much larger scale though, and it takes about $500 to produce each image, which is unfortunate when the photos do not turn out like the last couple in the video.
