Photo of the Day 2/22/12

Today’s photo is one I took of an “unusual” clothing store window during a trip to New York (not London, which was the name of the store). I chose this one to show what can be done with the perspective tool in Photoshop. Here’s the original processed shot, shot at ISO 1600, 1/500 second, f/1.4 with a 50mm lens.

Now here’s the final result after using the perspective tool, and applying some other minor tweaks (lowered saturation to tone down the neon a bit, levels adjustment, higher contrast):

For more information on the perspective tool, watch this very short video.
